Who's That Girl: About Milena Thomas

Milena Thomas is a young Metro-Detroiter of 27, happily married to Michael, giddy to be working from home and going to grad school half-time.
In addition to writing Shouting to Quiet the Thunder, she is a private voice teacher and performer, and has a whole secret blog about singing you shouldn't visit because she'd be embarassed about her dorkiness. She is also Serbo-Croatian, which she is quite proud of and contributes to her sister's site, The Slavic Bazaar, which you should visit because it's kick-ass cool.

Here, she blogs on a few topics of interest that roughly fall into the following categories, check out some of her favorite posts!

I'm honored that you read the Chronicle blog and that smart, insightful, funny young women--with you as their poster child, of course--find my stuff at Brainstorm entertaining, useful, intriguing, or simply fun fodder for your own work. Hats off to you, Milena, and I look forward to reading more of YOUR work.

Cheers and applause,
Gina Barreca

What a great thing you have here. I've spent the better part of my morning reading through your posts and resulting comments. What was wrong with the mean commentor? I happened to like the bike riding post. Anyhow, while I should be on the hunt or working on my freelance projects, I wanted to take the time to let you know that I've thoroughly enjoyed Shouting to Quiet the Thunder. If you don't mind, I'm going to continue to read it. It'll be a nice replacement to the newly found Mr. Mom job I have....... Keep up the great writing!
