I work full-time too. I have had to take time off (a year one time, and several months another) from school in the past because of 2 things. 1. Money - couldn't afford it and just took classes when I could. 2. STRESS. I am working on my thesis and am an absolute stress monster when due dates come around. My stress has made me into a bitter, selfish and needy person and this has negatively affected every potentially serious relationship I start with a guy since being in grad school. I self-sabotage those relationships (I think) because I know they will distract me from my studies. I will be aloof and hold a guy at arms length for a little while, then open up just enough to like him because I WANT THE RELATIONSHIP, then I get stressed with due dates and being overwhelmed with work/school and when he doesn't respond according to my schedule - I panic and become needy, then he's gone and I'm upset and can't concentrate. I feel foolish and pretty-much worthless. It's an utterly childish and ridiculous cycle. How do I stop preventing relationships before they even get a chance to blossom. I want to give 100% to school because that is for ME; something I've worked very hard for and that will advance my career. But I also want to give 100% to a mature, adult relationship - maybe I'm just not ready and should hold off on the "love" part until after graduation? Please advise....

Wow, another great find from Twitter - that crazy ...

Wow, another great find from Twitter - that crazy site is surprising me right and left.

Yup, I chose the cheaper, though less prestigious, school to save money and b/c they offered me a scholarship. I wasn't ready and I'm glad I was able to hold off until I was. As for your second question, I can't imagine I am getting the same experience. For example, I can go to class, then walk into work the next day and chat about how what I learned directly affects our business. In grad school, it's all theory until you get to your summer internship or after your program is done. If I were you, start polling people who went right after college, and see what they say.
